Step 1

Connect the power adapter to the Ethernet switch to power it up.

Step 2

Any of the Ethernet ports of the switch can function as an uplink. Connect any port to the Ethernet (LAN) port of your router using an Ethernet cable.

Very good quality easy to use and set up, great for gaming set up, or work/home office space. Makes pc work faster and smoother.

Quality, works well but a bit pricey for it's feature set

BrosTrend 8 Port 2.5Gb Switch - ReviewThis switch offers great build quality with a metal case housing. The switch is very easy to setup by someone with a bit of networking knowledge. The ports support 2.5g each which is plenty for home or even office use.Overall for 74.99, at the time of review this switch is pricey for it's feature set. However it offers good build quality & easy setup. My main concern is managed switches are around the same price or slightly more expensive and these offer lots of flexibility and features. 3.5 stars

Nice switch

Unsure about the brand but this isn't a pricey switch.There are three modes that you can use for it. The default, using for redundancy and use for splitting the switch for partitioning.

Great switch for our home

We got this switch to upgrade our home network from our old gigabit switch for faster speeds. It has a solid build which is very nice to handle. Its easy to set up, just plug and play. It already comes with mounting screws or just padded feet for whoever you want to put it. Weve been using it for a few weeks now without problems.

I've been very pleased with Bros products

Up until a few months ago I never even heard of this company until I needed to upgrade my Network cards and switches to Internet over 1Gbps. I had purchased a couple BrosTrend cards and a switch and I have been very pleased.This switch (with the possibility to aggregate input in the future) is a very nice product. Throughput allows the bandwidth I expect and not overly hot. The only downside is i prefer the ports to be in back and any switches in front of the unit. Although you just set the switches once (typically), having a switch behind a device BEGS for the switched to be changed by accident as cables are configured.
