Quick Setup, Reliable Connection

Step 1

Connect to the Default Network of the Outdoor WiFi Access Point

Power the outdoor WiFi access point with the included PoE injector or a standard PoE switch, then connect to its default WiFi network (BrosTrend_EXT or BrosTrend_5GEXT) with your smartphone or laptop.

Step 2

Customize Your Outdoor Network

Open a web browser, log into the AP's web interface, select the Access Point Mode, and follow the on-screen instructions to customize your outdoor network.

Step 3

Connect the Access Point to the Internet and Relocate It

Power and connect the AP using either the included passive PoE injector (up to 164 ft) or an Internet-enabled standard PoE switch (up to 263 ft), both via Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables. Once online, relocate the unit outdoors and connect your devices to the WiFi network.
IMPORTANT: For outdoor use, be sure to use PoE-compatible Ethernet cables that are waterproof, shielded, UV-resistant, and temperature-resistant to ensure safe and reliable performance.

Well designed external wifi extender that works reliably

I mainly wanted this unit for the 2.4GHz signal because the reception in my back yard was rather poor, and I have quite a few soil/moisture/water monitoring gadgets for my "smart" garden that need to be connected wirelessly. I installed this on the back wall of my house, under the eaves, keeping the PoE injector inside the attic, and only running an ethernet cord externally. So far, I haven't found any dead spots for reception at all in my yard, which is fantastic. The performance is not nearly as fast as my in-house wifi6e APs, but it's good enough for my use. Setup was standard, not extremely easy, but not difficult at all.Overall, this is a solid wifi extender unit that works exactly as advertised.

Great wifi extender

I bought this access point to extend WiFi into my garden and it works brilliantly. The signal is strong and stable across both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands, and I can now stream, browse, and even work outside with no dropouts. Setup was straightforward, and it comes with a passive PoE injector, which made installation a lot easier.The build quality feels solid and the IP65 weatherproofing gives me confidence it will handle rain and changing weather without issues. It has great range, it easily covers the garden and even reaches into the shed at the back.
