Before extending the WiFi network coverage to outside for my CCTV wireless camera's, I had a persistent issue before mounting this BrosTrend AX3000 access point on an exterior wall. Routing a single Cat6 Ethernet cable from the main switch indoors to the outside unit was straightforward, and the included passive PoE injector meant I could keep the actual power supply safely tucked away inside rather than paying an electrician to install an outdoor socket.The supplied mounting hardware attached easily to the brickwork, and the IP65-rated plastic housing feels robust enough to handle the typical British wind and heavy rain it has already endured over the past week or so without any signs of moisture damage.Performance for my camera's has improved noticeably since installation with better stability. The Wi-Fi 6 speeds on the 5GHz band deliver fast, uninterrupted connections for streaming video and home working on a laptop out on the patio, while the 2.4GHz band easily punches through my back fence, providing enough bandwidth for casual phone browsing, so a decent coverage all-round.Logging into the web management interface to configure the network name, adjust channel widths, and apply a quick firmware update took only a few minutes. While the dashboard isn't the most visually modern, it exposes all the necessary configuration settings without burying them in endless submenus. Once mounted and configured, it just sits quietly on the wall and delivers the promised outdoor network extension without needing constant reboots or fuss.

The problem with many outdoor devices (doorbell cameras, cameras, sensors, etc.) is often not the devices themselves, but the inconsistent or weak wifi system that they may be getting.Fortunately, we had an ethernet outlet in the garage so that I was able to put in a wi-fi extender there, and it had a plug for power. Now the cameras and other wifi devices in the front of the house get a good signal. But the problem was the back of the house. But being exposed to outside weather would prevent the use of many access points. That is where this guy comes in.The unit is IP65 water and dust-proof, which makes it a robust solution for outside. In my case, it is a covered lanai, but depending on winds, it can get wet, so a water-proof device is handy. I was able to run an ethernet cable from a switch into the PoE Injector (which needs to be plugged into electrical outlet with the adapter), and then was able to run an ethernet cable from the injector to a new outlet I made in the lanai. It requires quite a bit of fishing and some head gashes in the attic, but it seemed like the right way to do it. They do show an illustration where this unit could get the wifi signal from the router and then extend it, but from what I understand, if the signal is on the weaker side, that is what will be extended. And if you have to have the ethernet cable connected to it from the PoE injector anyway for power, you might as well arrange it inside for the injector to get the ethernet signal, because that will be much a much stronger signal. Anyway, now my rear cameras and smart outside plugs get a strong, consistent signal, so less down time.Overall, I am pretty happy with the performance of this access point. Although you have to be aware that you need to have an ethernet cable connected to it from the PoE Injector, so keep the feasibility of that before ordering.

I tested in our apartment a biger block flat on the ground floor, was easy to setup after the switch on already dropped me to the setup page, can extend with the same name the already used wifi or can setup different one like just for the garden to separate to use, has ground port for lightning and the poe adapter and easier to positioning with just one ethernet cable and the adapter need to have indoor its not water proof, in the block flat covered the full apartment even further about 20meters radius but this depends which wall made from plaster or brick and outdoor even longer distance can work. Speed was good in apartment between the plaster walls I could use my full internet speed which is 500mbit after the brick walls its bit reduced. Connection was stable even when it was slower. The adapter has mounting points on it and included the package even quich ties as well
