1. What is MLO?

MLO (Multi-Link Operation) is one of the key features introduced in Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be). It allows compatible devices to use multiple Wi-Fi links across different frequency bands (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz) to improve wireless performance.

Compared with previous Wi-Fi generations, which typically use only one wireless link at a time, MLO enables devices to make better use of multiple available links, helping provide higher throughput, lower latency, improved reliability, and better resistance to interference.

2. eMLSR Support on the BrosTrend BE1 Wi-Fi 7 Adapter

This BrosTrend BE1 Wi-Fi 7 Adapter supports Enhanced Multi-Link Single Radio (eMLSR), one of the MLO operating modes defined in the Wi-Fi 7 standard.

With eMLSR, the adapter can stay connected to two Wi-Fi bands at the same time (For example, 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz, 5 GHz + 6 GHz, or 2.4 GHz + 6 GHz), while using a single active link to transmit data. It automatically switches data transmission to the better connection as network conditions change, helping provide:
